Ethereum (ETH), which will undergo its most significant update in history, is set to take place at approximately 5:27 AM UTC on September 15.
There are many options for those who want to live-stream the historic shift of Ethereum to proof-of-stake, or to simply watch it happen in real time.
The Ethereum Foundation has scheduled an Ethereum Merge Viewing Party live stream to go live on YouTube at 4:00 AM UTC. This is approximately an hour and a quarter before the Merge’s estimated time.
The Merge will take place when the network reaches a total terminal difficulty of 58750000000000000000000, after which the next block produced will be done so through a proof-of-stake mechanism.
The Ethereum Foundation has scheduled guests to its live stream, including the Ethereum Cat Herders as well as content creators from Bankless or The Daily Gwei.
The description also suggests other “notable guests”, which could include Vitalik Buterin, Ethereum founder, and Anthony Sassano (founder of “The Daily Gwei”), who have both participated in live streams of testnets in the past.
According to YouTube, viewers who join the Merge two hours prior can “participate” in a POAP canvas.

Bordel.wtf also has Merge prediction timesrs that provide the most current countdown to the Merge. Google, Wenmerge.com and Blockchain.com all keep a running count of the total Terminal Difficulty as well as an estimate Merge time. BTC.com also has its own countdown.

After the Merge is completed, Ethereum will transition to proof of stake, which is expected dramatically to reduce its energy consumption.
