The Ethereum Merge to proof-of-stake is complete — What’s next? | Interview with Dr. Julian Hosp

Market Talks is pleased to welcome Julian Hosp as CEO and co-founder at Cake DeFi.

Julian Hosp, the CEO and cofounder of Cake DeFi is an intuitive online platform that provides access to decentralized financial services. With over one million followers on all his channels worldwide, he is widely recognized as a key influencer in crypto and blockchain. He is also a best-selling author. His vision is to spread blockchain awareness and understanding to more than a billion people by 2025.

The Merge has been everywhere recently with many news outlets, influencers, and YouTube channels covering it as much as they can. But why does the Ethereum Merge matter? And why is it so important in crypto? Julian answers our questions.

What has changed since the Merge was completed and Ethereum successfully moved from proof of work to proof-of stack? What will the network look like for users? Or how will it perform for daily transactions? What’s the future of Ethereum? Are there any future upgrades or modifications? The Merge will bring institutional adoption to the network, which is now more environmentally-friendly.

Many people expected a massive pump or dump in Ether (ETH), and other cryptocurrencies after all the attention and news about the Merge. The event had little impact on the markets. The question is, was this hype? Julian gives his take on the subject.

We move on to Ethereum and the new Consumer Price Index data (CPI). Julian gives his take on the data and the reasons why Bitcoin (BTC), and other cryptocurrencies, fell as soon as it was published. We ask Julian whether he believes Bitcoin can drop below $20K and how low it can go considering the macroeconomic factors. We also discuss the important price levels that he is watching for Bitcoin and their importance.

Listen to your voice and tune in. We will be answering your questions throughout the show so make sure you have them on hand.
